Chapter VII

OF OFFENCES RELATING TO THE ARMY, NAVY AND AIR FORCE

Abetting mutiny, or attempting to seduce a soldier, sailor or airman from his duty
131. Whoever abets the committing of mutiny by an officer, soldier, sailor or airman, in the Army, Navy or Air Force of Bangladesh, or attempts to seduce any such officer, soldier, sailor or airman from his allegiance or his duty, shall be punished with 2[imprisonment] for life, or with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.
 
 
Explanation.-In this section the words "officer", “soldier", "sailor" and "airman" include any person subject to the 3[Army Act, 1952 or the Navy Ordinance, 1961 or the Air Force Act, 1953], as the case may be.

    Throughout this Act, except otherwise provided, the words “Bangladesh”, “Government”, “the Government” and “Taka” were substituted, for the words “Pakistan”, “Central or any Provincial Government” or “Central Government or any Provincial Government” or “Central Government” or “the Provincial Government” or “Provincial Government” and “rupees” respectively by section 3 and 2nd Schedule of the Bangladesh Laws (Revision And Declaration) Act, 1973 (Act No. VIII of 1973).

    The words, commas and figures “Army Act, 1985 or the Navy Ordinance, 1961 or the Air Force Act, 1953” were substituted, for the words “Army Act, the Indian Army Act, 1911, the Pakistan Army Act, 1952, the Naval Discipline Act or that Act as modified by the Pakistan Navy (Discipline) Act, 1934, the Air Force Act or the Indian Air Force Act, 1932 or the Pakistan Air Force Act, 1953” by section 3 and 2nd Schedule of the Bangladesh Laws (Revision And Declaration) Act, 1973 (Act No. VIII of 1973)
