The Alluvial Lands Act, 1920

Control by the Government
1[7B. In the exercise of the powers and discharge of duties under this Act, the Collector 2[or the Commissioner, as the case may be,] shall be guided by such orders and instructions as he may, from time to time, receive from the 3[Government].]

    Section 7B was inserted by section 5 of the Bengal Alluvial Lands (East Bengal Amendment) Act, 1952 (Act No. IV of 1952)

    The words and commas "or the Commissioner, as the case may be," were inserted by section 2 and Schedule of the Bangladesh Laws (Amendment) Ordinance, 1976 (Ordinance No. IX of 1976)

    The word "Government" was substituted, for the words "Board of Revenue" by the Schedule of the Bangladesh Laws (Repealing and Amending) Order, 1973 (President's Order No. 12 of 1973)
