The Naval Armament Act, 1923

1♣An Act to give effect in Bangladesh to the Treaty for the Limitation of Naval Armament.

 
WHEREAS it is expedient to give effect in Bangladesh to the Treaty for the Limitation of Naval Armament and for the Exchange of Information concerning Naval Construction signed in London on behalf of His Majesty on the twenty-fifth day of March, 1936; It is hereby enacted as follows:-
 
 
 

Short title, extent and commencement
1.(1) This Act may be called the Naval Armament Act, 1923.
 
 
(2) It extends to the whole of Bangladesh.
 
 
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, appoint.

    Throughout this Act, except otherwise provided, the words "Bangladesh", "Government" and "Taka" were substituted, for the words "Pakistan", "Central Government" and "rupees" respectively by section 3 and 2nd Schedule of the Bangladesh Laws (Revision And Declaration) Act, 1973 (Act No. VIII of 1973)
