21.(1) Unless he resigns his office under sub-section (2) or is removed under sub-section (3), the term of office of a Vice-President shall be five years or the residue of his term of office as a member, whichever is less. (2) A Vice-President may resign his office by notice in writing to the President and, on the resignation being accepted by the Board, the office shall become vacant. (3) A Vice-President may be removed from his office by the Government at any time during the term of his office if a no-confidence motion is passed against him by a two-third majority of the ²[* * *] members of the Board at a meeting specially convened for this purpose, and on such removal the office shall become vacant.
