Imposition of Taxation

General power of taxation
60.(1) The Board may, with the previous sanction of the Government, impose in any cantonment any tax which, under any enactment for the time being in force, may be imposed in any municipality 2[* * *].
 
 
(2) Any tax imposed under this section shall take effect from the date of its notification in the official Gazette.

    Throughout this Act, except otherwise provided, the words "Bangladesh", Government", "Penal Code" and "Taka" were substituted, for the words "Pakistan", "Central Government", "Pakistan Penal Code" and "rupee" or "rupees" respectively by the Bangladesh Laws (Revision And Declaration) Act, 1973 (Act No. VIII of 1973), section 3 and 2nd Schedule
