177.(1) A Board may provide or prescribe suitable routes for the use of persons passing through the cantonment- (a) on their way to or from fairs or places of pilgrimage or other places of public resort; or (b) during times when an infectious or contagious disease is prevalent; and may, by public notice, require such persons as aforesaid to use such routes and no others. (2) All routes provided or prescribed under sub-section (1) shall be clearly and sufficiently indicated by the Board.
