THE EXCLUDED AND PARTIALLY EXCLUDED AREAS LAWS REGULATION, 1950

(EAST BENGAL REGULATION NO. IV OF 1950)

A Regulation to apply the 1[***] State Aid to Industries Act, 1931, to the Chittagong Hill-tracts and to the partially excluded areas of the Mymensingh district.

WHEREAS it is expedient to apply the Bengal State Aid to Industries Act, 1931, to the Chittagong Hill-tracts and to the partially excluded areas of the Mymensingh district;

 

 

AND WHEREAS by sub-section (2) of section 92 of the Government of India Act, 1935, as adapted by the Pakistan (Provisional Constitution) Order, 1947, the 2[Government] is empowered to make regulations for the peace and good Government of any area in his Province which is for the time being an excluded area or a partially excluded area;

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, the 3[Government] in exercise of the said powers and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, is pleased to make the following Regulation:-

Short title and commencement

1. (1) This Regulation may be called THE EXCLUDED AND PARTIALLY EXCLUDED AREAS LAWS REGULATION, 1950.

 

(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
