2. The Petroleum Act, 1934, shall apply to the Chittagong Hill-tracts, subject to the amendments shown below:-

AMENDMENTS.

1. In section 1, sub-section (3) shall be omitted.
2. In section 2-

(I) for clause (d), the following shall be substituted, namely:-

“(d) “to transport” petroleum means to move petroleum from one place in ¹[Bangladesh] to another in the Chittagong Hill-tracts and vice versa,

and includes moving petroleum from one place to another within the area of the Chittagong Hill tracts.”

(ii) for clause (e), the following shall be substituted, namely:-

“(e) “to import” petroleum means to bring it within the area of the Chittagong Hill-

tracts.”
