Penalty for contravention of rules
1[17A. Rules made under section 17 may provide that a breach of any of them shall be punishable with fine not exceeding one thousand 2[Taka].]

    Section 17A was inserted by section 3 of the Coconut and Oilseeds Committees Acts (Amendment) Ordinance, 1962 (Ordinance No. XXV of 1962)

    The word “Taka” was substituted for the word “rupees” by section 3 and the Second Schedule of the Bangladesh Laws (Revision And Declaration) Act, 1973 (Act No. VIII of 1973)
