45. As soon as may be after the publication of a notification in the official Gazette under sub-section (2) of section 43, the Revenue-officer shall cause to be published, in the prescribed manner, in the area to which the Compensation Assessment-roll in respect of which such notification is published relates, a proclamation in the local vernacular-(a) explaining the consequences which as provided in section 44 have ensued on such publication of such notification, and(b) directing all persons in such area, who will become tenants under the Government with effect from the first day of the agricultural year next following the date of such publication of such notification, to pay rent to the Government and not to any body else.
