For the purpose of clause (c) of sub-section (4) of section 3 or clause (7) of section 44, the expression “arrears” shall include the arrears in respect of which suits were pending on the date or day, as the case may be, referred to in the said clauses or in respect of which decrees, whether having the effect of a rent-decree or money-decree, were obtained before the said date or day and have not been satisfied and are not barred by limitation and shall also include the costs allowed by such decrees.
