49. Any person subject to this Act who commits any of the following offences, that is to say,-(a) refuses to be sworn or affirmed when duly required by a court martial to be sworn or affirmed; or(b) refuses, when a witness, to answer any question or to produce or deliver up any book, document or other thing when duly required by a court martial to answer such question, or to produce or deliver up such book, document or other thing; or(c) is guilty of contempt of court martial, by using insulting or threatening language, or by causing any interruption or disturbance in the proceedings of such court;shall, on conviction by court martial be punished with rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to five years, or with such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned.
