62. (1) When any work is being executed by the Kartripakkha in any public street vested in them, the Kartripakkha shall, so far as may reasonably be practicable, make adequate provision for- (a) the passage or diversion of traffic; (b) securing access to all premises approached from such street; and (c) any drainage, water-supply or means of lighting which is interrupted by reason of execution of the work. (2) The Kartripakkha shall pay reasonable compensation to any person who sustains special damage by reason of the execution of any such work.
