Agent's Duty to Principal

When agent's remuneration becomes due
219. In the absence of any special contract, payment for the performance of any act is not due to the agent until the completion of such act; but an agent may detain moneys received by him on account of goods sold, although the whole of the goods consigned to him for sale may not have been sold, or although the sale may not be actually complete.

    Throughout this Act, except otherwise provided, the words "Bangladesh", "Taka" and "Penal Code" were substituted, for the words "Pakistan" or "East Pakistan", "Rupees" or "Rs." and "Pakistan Penal Code" respectively by section 3 and 2nd Schedule of the Bangladesh Laws (Revision And Declaration) Act, 1973 (Act No. VIII of 1973).
