AGENCY

Liability of pretended agent
235. A person untruly representing himself to be the authorized agent of another, and thereby inducing a third person to deal with him as such agent, is liable, if his alleged employer does not ratify his acts, to make compensation to the other in respect of any loss or damage which he has incurred by so dealing.

    Throughout this Act, except otherwise provided, the words "Bangladesh", "Taka" and "Penal Code" were substituted, for the words "Pakistan" or "East Pakistan", "Rupees" or "Rs." and "Pakistan Penal Code" respectively by section 3 and 2nd Schedule of the Bangladesh Laws (Revision And Declaration) Act, 1973 (Act No. VIII of 1973).
