Enhanced punishments in some cases
18. Notwithstanding anything contained in the [* * *] Penal Code, the
Whipping Act, 1909, or any other law for the time being in force, when a dangerous goonda is convicted under an Act mentioned in the first column of the Schedule to this Act for an offence punishable under any of the sections of that Act mentioned against it in the second column of the said Schedule, the maximum punishment that may be awarded, on such conviction shall be that appearing in the corresponding entry in the third column thereof.
