Offences under the Ordinance
3. Notwithstanding anything contained in the [* * *] Control of Essential Commodities Act, 1956, or in any other law for the time being in force, contravention of any notified order in respect of foodstuffs made or deemed to have been made under the [* * *] Control of Essential Commodities Act, 1956, shall be tried and punished by Special Magistrates appointed under this Act and no other Court shall have any jurisdiction to take cognizance of any such offence.
