(1) Whoever wilfully makes a false statement or knowingly makes use of any false statement for the purpose of obtaining a loan from the Corporation or of inducing the Corporation to accept any security in any form or kind shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years, or with a fine which may extend to two thousand taka, or with both. (2) Whoever being a member of the Board or of any Committee of the Corporation discloses or uses for a purpose not connected with the discharge of his duties as a member of the Board or of such Committee any information supplied to the Corporation or to the Board or to the Committee by a person applying for financial assistance shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand taka, or with both. (3) No Court shall take cognizance of any offence punishable under this Act otherwise than on a complaint in writing signed by an officer of the Corporation authorised by the Board in this behalf.
