1[5A. Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act V of 1898), for the purpose of investigation of an offence triable under this Act, the offence shall be deemed to be an offence triable exclusively by Court of Sessions and the provisions of sub-section (5) of section 167 of that Code shall have effect as if for the words “sixty days” the words “one hundred and eighty days” were substituted.]
