130. (1) At the conclusion of a trial by court-martial, the finding and the sentence, if any, of the court shall be signed by the president and the judge-advocate, if any, but they shall not be promulgated until they have been confirmed. (2) The President of the court shall forward the proceedings of the court to the convening authority, who may confirm the same or transmit them for confirmation to a superior authority, if so directed by the warrant empowering him to convene the court. (3) No finding or sentence of a court-martial shall be valid unless and except to the extent to which it is confirmed in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance and the rules.
