(1) No person shall be appointed or elected or shall continue to be a Director who¬-(a) is found to be a lunatic or of unsound mind; or(b) is or at any time has been adjudged insolvent; or(c) has any interest whether as Proprietor, Director, employee or otherwise in any other road transport undertaking in Bangladesh or has any interest in any subsisting contract made with or in any work done for the Corporation; or(d) is or at any time has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude; or(e) is a minor. (2) No person shall be elected as Director of the Corporation for the purpose of clause (b) of sub section (1) of section 5 or appointed as such by the Government under the first proviso to that clause unless such a person holds 10,000 shares of the Corporation. (3) No Director shall continue in office after absenting himself from three consecutive meetings of the Board without the leave of the Chairman or, in the case of the Chairman, of the Government.
