9. (1) The Chairman shall-(a) attend every meeting of the Board unless prevented by sickness or other reasonable cause;(b) be responsible for the orderly conduct of the business of the Corporation;(c) exercise supervision and control over the acts and proceedings of all officers and servants of the Corporation in matters of administration;(d) furnish the Government with copies of the minutes of any of the Corporation's proceedings and any returns or other information, which the Government may, from time to time, call for. (2) With the previous approval of the Board in respect of such matters as require such approval and where such action is necessary, the Chairman may-(a) institute, defend, or withdraw any proceeding and compound any offence;(b) admit, compromise or withdraw any claim, and(c) obtain legal advice.
