The Academic Council may, subject to the provisions of this Ordinance and the Statutes, frame University Ordinances providing for all or any of the following matters-(a) registration of the students in the University, and admission of the students in the University and constituent and affiliated colleges;(b) equivalence of examinations conducted by other Universities and institutions;(c) framing of detailed syllabuses for the examinations held by the University;(d) conditions of admission to the examinations held by the University;(e) conduct of examinations;(f) condition of residence of the students;(g) condition of admission to the Teaching Departments and constituent and affiliated colleges; ¹[(gg) conduct and discipline of the students of the University, and punishment including rustication and expulsion for misconduct and breach of discipline;] and(h) all other matters which, by this Ordinance, are to be or may be prescribed by the University Ordinances.
