24. The Academic Council may, subject to the provisions of this Ordinance and the Statutes, frame University Ordinances providing for all or any of the following matters, namely:-(a) registration of students in the University and admission of the students in the University and colleges;(b) equivalence of examinations conducted by other Universities, Boards and Institutions;(c) framing of detailed syllabuses of the examinations held by the University;(d) conditions of admission to the examinations held by the University;(e) conduct of examinations;(f) subjects comprised in a Faculty;(g) conditions of residence of the students; ¹[(gg) conduct and discipline of the students of the University, and punishment including rustication and expulsion for misconduct and breach of discipline;](h) condition of admission to the Teaching Departments; and(i) all other matters which, by this Ordinance, may be prescribed by the University Ordinances.
