The Jute Ordinance, 1962

Fixation of prices
8. (1) The Government may, by notified order, fix minimum prices below which, and maximum prices above which, jute or jute manufactures of various grades shall not be sold or purchased, and such prices may be fixed generally in respect of all areas or persons or differentially in respect of particular areas or classes of persons.
 
 
 
 
(2) No person shall buy or sell or offer to buy or sell jute or jute manufactures at any price below the minimum or above the maximum fixed under sub-section (1).
