The Jute Ordinance, 1962

Requisition of presses, godowns, etc.
10. (1) The Government, may, by order in writing, requisition any kutcha or pucca press, any godown or any place, open or enclosed, and use the same, or allot it to any person for baling, selling or storing jute or for any other purpose incidental to the administration of this Ordinance whether such jute has been purchased by or on behalf of the Government or not.
 
 
 
 
(2) If any such press, godown or place is requisitioned under this section, there shall be paid compensation which shall be determined either with the agreement of the parties concerned or by an arbitrator chosen with their consent, and in the absence of such consent, by an arbitrator to be appointed in accordance with the provisions of the Arbitration Act, 1940.
 
 
 
 
(3) In determining the compensation under sub-section (2) the arbitrator shall have regard to the provisions of 1[sub-section (1) of section 8 of the Acquisition and Requisition of Immovable Property Ordinance, 1982 (II of 1982)] so far as the same can be made applicable to acquisition of a temporary nature.
