The Jute Ordinance, 1962

Cognizance of offences
21. (1) No Court shall take cognizance of any offence punishable under this Ordinance except on a report in writing of the facts constituting such offence made by 1[* * *] a person acting on behalf of the Government 2[* * *].
 
 
3[(2) The person acting on behalf of the Government may, instead of making a report of an offence under sub-section (1), compound such offence for such sum of money as may be determined by the person.]
