The Cadet College Ordinance, 1964 (East Pakistan Ordinance)

(EAST PAKISTAN ORDINANCE NO. II OF 1964)

Powers and duties of the Governing Body
6. (1) The Governing Body shall be the Executive Body of the College and subject to other provisions of the Ordinance and the powers conferred on the Council of Cadet Colleges, shall have the general management and superintendence over the affairs, concerns and property of the College. The assets of the College shall vest in the Governing Body.
 
 
 
 
(2) Subject to other provisions contained in this Ordinance, the Governing Body,-
 
 
 
 
(a) shall hold, control and administer the property and funds of the College;
 
 
 
 
(b) shall determine the form, provide for the custody and regulate the use, of the common seal of the College;
 
 
 
 
(c) shall submit to the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh annually a full statement of the financial requirements of the College;
 
 
 
 
(d) shall administer any funds placed at the disposal of the College for specific purposes;
 
 
(e) shall have power to accept on behalf of the College transfers any movable or immovable property;
 
 
 
 
1[(f) subject to the provisions of this Ordinance shall except the Principal and the Vice-Principal, appoint the members of the staff and shall provide for the filling of temporary vacancies in their posts;]
 
 
 
 
(g) shall consider, examine and initiate proposals for the improvement of the College;

(i) shall consider and pass such resolutions on the annual report, the annual accounts and the financial estimates as it thinks fit; and
 
 
 
 
(j) shall exercise such other powers and functions and such other duties as may be conferred or imposed on it by this Ordinance or the regulation.
