The Cantonments Pure Food Act, 1966

Right of private persons to have samples analysed
19. (1) Any person may make an application in writing to an Inspector asking him to purchase a sample of such food and from such person as may be specified in the application and to submit such sample to the Public Analyst for analysis.
 
 
 
 
(2) The cost of the sample purchased and of the analysis done under sub-section (1) shall be payable by the person making the application:
 
 
 
 
Provided that, in case the sample is found by the Public Analyst to be adulterated, any amount paid by the applicant under this sub-section shall be refunded to him.
