The Bangladesh Legal Practitioner's and Bar Council Order, 1972 (President's Order)

( PRESIDENT'S ORDER NO. 46 OF 1972 )

4. 1[Subject to the provisions of Article 8], the term of the Bar Council be three years beginning on the first day of 2[July] following the general elections to the Bar Council; and at the end of each terms the members of the Bar Council shall cease to hold office.

    The words “Subject to the provisions of Article 8” were substituted for the words “Save as provided in Article 7 in respect of the first Bar Council” by section 2 of Bangladesh Legal Practitioners and Bar Council (Amendment) Act, 2021 (Act No XVI of 2021)
