5. (1) The Chief Whip shall be responsible for- (a) keeping members of ¹[Parliament] supplied with information about the business of ²[Parliament]; (b) securing the attendance of members at the sessions of ³[Parliament]; (c) arranging the business of each sitting of ⁴[Parliament]; and (d) performing such other functions as may be assigned to him by the Government or as may be prescribed. (2) A Whip shall perform such functions as may be assigned to him by the Chief Whip or the Government or as may be prescribed.
