19. (1) The Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, make rules for carrying out the purposes of this Order. (2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may-(a) prescribe the period for which and the manner in which persons may be appointed as Officers or enrolled as Riflemen or Signalmen;(b) prescribe the training of Officers, Riflemen and Signalmen;(c) prescribe the discharge of Officers, Riflemen and Signalmen;(d) prescribe the terms and conditions of service of Officers, Riflemen and Signalmen;(e) regulate the powers and functions of the ¹[Director-General] and other Officers;(f) regulate the classes of Officers, Riflemen and Signalmen;(g) provide for any other matter necessary for the constitution, maintenance, administration, command, control and discipline of the Force and for carrying the provisions of this Order into effect.
