3. (1) On the coming into force of this Act, there shall be established an institute to be called the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute for carrying out the purposes of this Act. (2) The Institute shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire, hold and dispose of properties both movable and immovable, and shall by the said name sue and be sued. (3) The Head Office of the Institute shall be at Joydevpur in the District of ¹[Gazipur].
