3. (1) The Jahangirnagar Muslim University shall be reconstituted at Savar in the district of Dacca in accordance with the provisions of this Act and the Campus of the University shall comprise its present site and such other areas as the Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, declare. (2) The Chancellor and the Vice-Chancellor of the University and the members of the Senate, the Syndicate and the Academic Council and all persons who may hereafter become such officers or members, so long as they continue to hold such office, or membership, shall constitute a body corporate by the name of the Jahangirnagar University. (3) The University shall have perpetual succession and common seal and shall sue and be sued by the said name.
