The Bangladesh Jute Research Institute Act, 1974

Definitions
 
2. In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,-
 
 
(a) “Board” means the Board of 1[ Management]of the Institute;
 
 
(b) “Chairman” means the Chairman of the Board;
 
 
2[ (c) “Council” means বাংলাদেশ কৃষি গবেষণা কাউন্সিল
 
established by বাংলাদেশ কৃষি গবেষণা কাউন্সিল আইন, ১৯৯৬ (১৯৯৬ সনের ৭ নং আইন);
 
 
(cc) “Director-General” means the Director-General of the Institute;]
 
 
(d) “Institute” means the Jute Research Institute established by this Act;
 
(e) “member” means a member of the Board;
 
 
(f) “prescribed” means prescribed by rules or regulations made under this Act.
