The Special Powers Act, 1974

( ACT NO. XIV OF 1974 )

Constitution of Advisory Board
9. (1) The Government shall, whenever necessary, constitute an Advisory Board for the purposes of this Act.
 
 
 
 
(2) The Advisory Board shall consist of three persons, of whom two shall be persons who are, or have been, or are qualified to be appointed as, Judges of the 1[High Court] and the other shall be a person who is a senior officer in the service of the Republic, and such persons shall be appointed by the Government.
 
 
 
 
(3) The Government shall appoint one of the members of the Advisory Board who is, or has been, or is qualified to be appointed as, a Judge of the 2[High Court] to be its Chairman.
