2. In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,- ¹[(a) ÔÇÿCouncil' means the National Sports Council constituted under section 3; (b) ÔÇÿChairman', ÔÇÿ ²[Secretary]' and ÔÇÿTreasurer' mean respectively the Chairman, ³[Secretary] and Treasurer of the Council;](c) “Executive Committee” means the Executive Committee of the Council constituted under section 11;(d) “national sports organisation” means an organisation constituted on a national basis for controlling sports and recognised as such by the Council;(e) “prescribed” means prescribed by rules made under the Act;(f) “sports” means a game for recreation involving bodily exercise and includes such other games as the Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, declare to be sports for the purposes of this Act.
