The Islamic Foundation Act, 1975

( ACT NO. XVII OF 1975 )

Definitions
2. In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,-
 
 
 
 
(a) “Board” means the Board of 1[Governors] of the Foundation;
 
 
 
 
(b) “Chairman” means the Chairman of the Board;
 
 
 
 
2[(bb) “Director-General” means the Director-General appointed under section 5A;]
 
 
 
 
(c) “Foundation” means the Islamic Foundation established under this Act;
 
 
3[(cc) “Governor” means a member of the Board;]
 
 
 
 
4[(d) “prescribed” means prescribed by rules 5[;]]
