REGISTRATION AND SURVEY

Power for Government to order a second survey
 
 
15. (1) If the surveyor making a survey of an inland ship refuses to give a declaration under section 7 with regard to the ship or gives a declaration with which the owner or master of the ship is dissatisfied, the 1[officer appointed under section 7] may, on the application of the owner or master, and on payment by him 2[ * * * ] double the amount of the fee payable for the previous survey, 3[ * * * ] direct more than one surveyor to survey the ship.
 
 
 
 
(2) The surveyors directed under sub-section (1) to survey an inland ship shall forthwith survey the ship and may, after the survey, either refuse to give a declaration or give such declaration as seems to them to be proper; and such refusal or declaration shall be final.
