PENALTY AND PROCEDURE

Penalty for failure to report casualty
71. A person shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to Taka 2[ten thousand], or with both, if he, without sufficient cause, fails to report a shipping casualty to the officer in charge of a police station as required by sub-section (2) of section 44.
