2. In this Ordinance, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,- (a) “Board” means the Board of Directors of the Corporation; (b) “Chairman” means the Chairman of the Corporation; (c) “Corporation” means the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation established under section 3; (d) “Director” means a Director of the Corporation; (e) “enterprise” means any firm or company engaged in any activity related to the processing, refining, blending or marketing of petroleum including its import, export, purchase, storage, sale or distribution; (f) “petroleum” means hydro-carbons in liquid or solid state, processed or unprocessed, including by-products and lubricants but does not include natural gas; and (g) “Prescribed” means prescribed by rules or regulations made under this Ordinance.
