5. (1) As soon as may be after the commencement of this Ordinance, there shall be constituted a Paurashava for every municipality in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. (2) Every Paurashava shall be a body corporate, having perpetual succession and a common seal, with power, subject to the provisions of this Ordinance and the rules, to acquire and hold property, both movable and immovable, and shall by its name sue and be sued. (3) The Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, specify the name by which any Paurashava shall be known, and unless the name of a Paurashava is so specified, it shall be known as the Paurashava of the place where its office is situated ¹[.] ²[* * *]
