68. (1) A Paurashava shall adopt such measures to prevent infectious diseases and to restrain infection within the municipality as the rules and by-laws may provide. (2) A Paurashava may, and if so required by the Government shall, establish and maintain one or more hospitals for the reception and treatment of persons suffering from infectious diseases. (3) A Paurashava may, in the prescribed manner, frame and implement schemes for the prevention and control of infectious diseases.
