(1) A Paurashava may, and if so required by the Government shall, establish and maintain such number of hospitals and dispensaries as may be necessary for the medical relief of the inhabitants of the municipality and the people visiting it. (2) Every hospital and dispensary maintained by a Paurashava shall be managed and administered in such manner as may be prescribed. (3) Subject to any directions that may be given in this behalf by the Prescribed Authority, every hospital and dispensary maintained by a Paurashava shall be provided with such drugs, medicines, instruments, apparatuses, appliances, equipments and furniture in accordance with such scale and standards as may be prescribed.
