A Paurashava may, and if so required by the Government shall, take such measures as may be necessary or as may be specified by the Government for-(a) the provision and maintenance of first aid centres;(b) the provision and maintenance of mobile medical aid units;(c) the promotion and encouragement of societies for the provision of medical aid;(d) the promotion of medical education;(e) the payment of grants to institutions for medical relief; and(f) the medical inspection of school children.
