5. (1) The Board shall consist of the following members, namely:-(a) a Chairman to be appointed by the Government;(b) ¹[four] whole-time members to be appointed by the Government;(c) one part-time member to represent the Bangladesh Power Development Board to be nominated by that Board;(d) one part-time member to represent the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation to be nominated by that Corporation;(e) one part-time member to represent the Small and Cottage Industries Corporation to be nominated by that Corporation; and(f) one part-time member to represent the Integrated Rural Development Programme to be nominated by the Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Division. (2) The Chairman and other members shall hold office on such terms and conditions as the Government may determine. (3) No act or proceeding of the Board shall be invalid merely on the ground of the existence of any vacancy in, or any defect in the constitution of, the Board.
