3. (1) There shall be an international centre to be called the “International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh” for carrying out the purposes of this Ordinance. (2) The Centre shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Ordinance, to acquire, hold and dispose of property, both movable and immovable, and shall by the said name sue and be sued. (3) The Centre shall be an autonomous, international, philanthropic, and non-profit centre for research, education and training as well as clinical service.
