9. (1) No person shall be or shall continue to be the Chairman or a Director who-(a) is a salaried official of the Sangstha other than the Managing Director and an employee appointed as Director;(b) is or, at any time, has been convicted of an offence which, in the opinion of the Government, is an offence involving moral turpitude; or(c) stands declared by a competent Court to be of unsound mind; or(d) is a person who is subject to a disqualification imposed by or under any law for the time being in force to hold any public office; or(e) is, or, any time has been adjudicated an insolvent; or(f) absents himself from three consecutive meetings of the Board without leave of absence granted by the Chairman or, in case of the Chairman, by the Government. (2) If the Chairman or any other Director, by reason of illness or other incapacity or absence from Dacca, is unable, at any time, to perform the duties of his position, or if the position of the Chairman or any other Director is, at any time, vacant, the Government may make a temporary appointment of any person to act in his place or in such position upon such terms and conditions and for such time as the Government may determine.
