The Leader and Deputy Leader of the Opposition (Remuneration and Privileges) Ordinance, 1979

Definitions
2. In this Ordinance, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,-
 
 
 
 
(a) “Deputy Leader of the Opposition” means that member of Parliament who, in the opinion of the Speaker, is for the time being the Deputy Leader in Parliament of the Party, or Group, as the case may be, in Opposition to the Government having the greatest numerical strength in Parliament;
 
 
 
 
(b) “Leader of the Opposition” means that member of Parliament who, in the opinion of the Speaker, is for the time being the Leader in Parliament of the Party or Group, as the case may be, in Opposition to the Government having the greatest numerical strength in Parliament;
 
 
(c) “Minister” and “Minister of State” shall mean respectively Minister and Minister of State appointed under Article 58 of the Constitution.
