WHEREAS it is expedient to repeal and, with certain modifications, re enact the Medical Council Act, 1973 (XXX of 1973), to provide for the constitution of a Medical and Dental Council, for regulating registration of medical practitioners and dentists and also for the purpose of establishing a uniform standard of basic and higher qualifications in medicine and dentistry and for matters connected therewith; It is hereby enacted as follows:-
